Autumn on San Juan Island is colorful! The leaves are turning, the wildlife is scurrying around preparing for colder weather, big yellow school buses amble down the roads, scarves and shawls of every hue are seen on Islanders, and the water is a deep green color against the crisp blue skies. Life slows down a bit, and we reconnect with our friends and neighbors after a busy and productive tourism season.
But Tucker House Inn and Harrison House Suites are certainly still welcoming visitors! Our Arts Community is a 365 days a year operation, from amateur groups to professional and world renown artist exhibitions. The San Juan Community Theatre is offering a Playwright’s Festival, several concerts and a variety of HD Streamed Plays and Operas. The Friday Harbor Film Festival, in its third year, brings three days of pacific rim themed documentaries to the Island, and we even have a TedX Talk scheduled.
Creative taste buds will enjoy Savor the San Juans in October, Oktoberfest, Bite of the San Juans, and the continuing Farmers’ Market every Saturday at Brickworks.
Music, art, lectures, food, beautiful cool weather….indulge yourself!
