Ceremony Location & Times
Our elopement and vow renewal packages include the use of the Tucker House Inn shade garden for your ceremony. The fronds of the giant weeping willow are a magnificent backdrop against which to say your “I do”s. During the time of year when it is not conducive to hold an outdoor event, your package includes a site fee for a private ceremony in the atrium of the Island Museum of Art, a few blocks from the inn. If you prefer a setting in one of our county, state, or national parks with breathtaking views of the water or perhaps the lavender fields in full bloom, an off-premise fee applies.
Plan your ceremony between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the second day of your stay at the Tucker House Inn & Harrison House Suites. If you are using the Island Museum of Art, the atrium is available between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and after 6 p.m. the rest of the week.
There is a summer surcharge of $250 for weddings June 15 – September 15, as well as those on holidays and holiday weekends.
Take the first night to settle into “island time” prior to the big day.
Schedule a Visit
You are welcome to visit the Tucker House Inn & Harrison House Suites and check out the ceremony site in advance of your big day. Otherwise, put yourself in the capable hands of your personal wedding concierge who will take care of all the details including choosing the ideal ceremony location based on your vision and of course Mother Nature. Small weddings are meant to be stress-free, so leave the planning to us!
Your personal wedding concierge will coordinate all the pieces of your intimate wedding package on San Juan Island!
Wedding Cake
Our in-house pastry chef will prepare a cake based on the size of your party. Choose from devil’s food, old fashion white, carrot, German chocolate, red velvet with fruit, chocolate ganache, or buttercream filling and Italian buttercream or whipped cream frosting. Please let us know if there are any dietary restrictions or food allergies. Two-tiered cakes with a top tier keepsake, fondant icing, or a customized topper are also available upon request, for an additional cost.
Officiant
The San Juan Island Inn Collection’s in-house officiant will preside at your ceremony.
Breakfast, Dinner & Toast
Your package includes a post-ceremony toast, as well as a food and beverage credit at Coho Restaurant. Your personal wedding concierge will take care of making your dinner reservations to coordinate with the timing of your ceremony. When Coho Restaurant is closed, we will prepare a private dinner in the Garden Cafe. Enjoy a candlelight breakfast delivered to your door the morning after.
Photography/Videography
The San Juan Island Inn Collection’s in-house photographer/videographer will create a custom video of your special day. The package includes a minimum of one hour photography/videography, including “getting ready” photos, the ceremony, and dinner reception. If you want to take photos at locations around the island, additional time is billed on an hourly basis.
Additional Guests
We are happy to accommodate up to eight additional guests for the ceremony, wedding dinner, or overnight stay. Rooms are based on availability and rate at the time of booking.
Aesthetics & Decor
Let your wedding concierge know about a particular lighting request or decor for the ceremony or dinner. Additional costs will apply for acquisition and installation. Fire code precludes burning candles at the inn.
Your personal wedding concierge will:
- Secure your preferred date and venue location
- Coordinate with officiant and photographer
- Order your floral bouquet and assist in any upgrade requests
- Order your cake of choice
- Offer recommendations for hair and make-up services at local salons
- Make dinner reservations at Coho Restaurant or schedule your wedding dinner in the Garden Cafe when Coho Restaurant is not open
- Schedule your candlelight breakfast
- Help you with any additional reservations during your stay
Wedding License
Please apply for your wedding license at least three days prior to your special day.
Payment
A 50% deposit on your wedding package and one-night lodging is due at the time of booking. The balance is due two weeks prior to arrival for both the wedding and lodging.
Honeymoon Suites
There are three honeymoon suites that are associated with our wedding packages: Orcas Suite, Roche Harbor Cottage, and Friday Harbor Suite. If you choose to marry in the San Juan Suite that will be your honeymoon suite. Fees for our small wedding package do not include lodging and taxes.
Cancellation Policy
Any changes and/or cancellations made outside of thirty days prior to arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 15% of your deposit. Inside of thirty days, the cancellation fee is 100% of your deposit. Inside of two weeks, there is no refund.
