Artstock Art Market and Gallery Walk – October 5

This year’s annual Artstock event  will be a “mini-Arstock.” Instead of the two-day open studio tour event of past years,  this year there will be an afternoon Artstock Art Market and Gallery Walk from 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm on October 5.

This is the kick off weekend for the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau “Savor the San Juans” campaign and the Agricultural Resource Committee’s “The Great Island Grown Festival.”  On that Saturday there will be the Farmer’s Market in the morning, followed by the Farm Parade, then the Chili Cook-off in the afternoon. So there will be a lot to do in town!

The Artstock Art Market will be partnering with the Chili Cook-off to share the Brickworks Facilities. Along with ten specially selected artisans and crafts persons, there will be chili food vendors, tables for eating and relaxing, a beer garden, cider press and other harvest activities along with live, local music to brighten the festivities.

Lauren Jawer Pottery

Gallery 9 at 60 First Street, WM McCauley Gallery at 232 A Street, #6, and Island Studios at 270 Spring St. will participate in the Gallery Walk by staying open until 7:00 pm and hosting receptions with refreshments.
