Lambiel Museum
Take a trip to Orcas Island to discover the largest collection of art from San Juan Islands artists! At the Lambiel Museum, you will discover this extensive private collection featuring work from 1915 to the present. Paintings, drawings, murals, photography, etchings, and ceramics are just a few media you will encounter. Two buildings and the grounds showcase this wonderful art on a waterfront property. Arctic and Northwest Coast Native artwork is on display at Friday Harbor’s Arctic Raven Gallery. An inspirational collection of fine native art includes Indian masks, wood carvings, and prints representing the Coast Salish, Kwagiulth, and Makah nations, among others. Sculptures in stone, bone, and ivory stand among bentwood boxes, orca bowls, and more. You will see the name-giver of the gallery, the arctic raven, repeated within many works of art here.
