Our Favorite Races in Washington

Run Ladies Run 11K & Half Marathon

Whether you wish to participate in the race or simply cheer on a friend, Run Ladies Run is a fun-filled event for girls of all ages. This women’s only race takes place on March 19, 2016, in Friday Harbor and even offers training programs to get you ready for the big day! Ladies are encouraged to walk or run at their own pace through the scenic, small-town roads and will receive handmade medals upon completion. Afterward, enjoy a much-needed celebratory brunch and give yourself a pat on the back!

 

Three Lakes Triathlon & Marathon

This June, head to the Lakedale Resort in Friday Harbor for the fourth annual Three Lakes Marathon. Participants will swim in the lakes, ride on rural roads, and run through the center of Island to finish the race. Complete with breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountain Range and Vancouver Island, this event is the perfect place to knock out your first 10K or your 10th marathon.

 

Tour De Lopez

If a race is too much competition, the Tour De Lopez, a bicycle tour around Lopez Island may be the perfect activity. This annual event held April 23, 2016, offers 5 different routes ranging from 5 – 31 miles. At the finish line you’ll enjoy a three course lunch complete with beer garden and music. You’ll be back on the inter-island ferry in Friday Harbor in time for dinner.

Cool Down at the Tucker House Inn

After you cross the finish line, head back to the Tucker House Inn and rest those tired legs in a big comfy bed or jacuzzi bath tub in one of our beautiful rooms or suites.
